Guitar Wiring Help!

I have a tele that I just switched out the volume pot in. I thought I had it setup correct (I unsoldered and then soldered) from the old pot to the new pot. Step by step- wire by wire. I even checked the Fender website and from what I can tell I have it wired correct according to the wiring diagram.

However, the volume and tone pots are now not working correct.

The volume knob, goes from loud to soft(still audible) to loud again.

At full volume the tone knob doesn't work.

At 0 full volume the tone knob works perfect.

All the guitar has is a volume and tone knob, two pickups (neck/bridge).

Any help would be great!

Did you run you cap from the middle post on the tone to the end post on the volume? If so check the ground. The cap should be soldered to the post and run through to the bottom of the volume pot to ground. That usually seems to be my downfall. I re-wired my bass last night and had a similar issue. I had a bad ground on my volume pot.
