Members profgalen
Not very much like Hank Marvin, whose classic sound was a Strat into ...An AC30. Great tone! Great playing! But I have to ask, what exactly didn't you like about the Peavey Duce? I picked one up dirt cheap and kind of like it. Except the trip to the chiropractor every time I have to move it. That's why it stays at home. When guests come over they like to try it and I've even done some recording with it.

My guess is that it was voiced for humbuckers ... I used it with a variety of Strats and Teles and the tone was always defiantly earthbound. As soon as I first plugged into the Super Reverb, i suddenly had exactly the sound I'd always wanted.
