...Actually the secret of Apple's success is to identify a market that already exists but isn't being served properly, then come up with a product that DOES do what customers want...

 

I would add:

"then come up with a product that after 3 releases DOES do what customers want"

Their initial offerings are usually pretty bad.

Apple's secret to success may also be related to fanboys, who irrationally glorify everything Jobs does, even if it's crap. That's why I like the other Steve. Wozniak has "bashed" Apple. Nothing wrong with using common sense to point out when a company is doing the wrong thing(s).
