Members Phait
http://www.jade-raven.com Has a couple slight quirks in IE, but I'm tired and really couldn't care less right now. :mad:IE anyway... I've been doin' flyers for my local hangout bar lately. I don't like the hand-holding "click thumbnails for better view" text, but someone did recently tell me a graphic designer they knew who viewed my site (older design) said my work was "too small" to view... never clicked to enlarge it's 2011, you should just know :phil:
Members blue2blue
I really like the Heidi Keyes site, except that I'd strongly consider a lightbox (or possibly better, Shadowbox) presentation for the gallery. An alternative might be a Flash gallery. The single page/blog style interface for your own site is a bold move I've seen a couple other designers use. It gets things right in front of folks, to be sure, less clicking around. Let me know how it works out. My site is crying for a makeover.
Members Phait
Yeah that's built upon WordPress, whereas my site is just hand-coded HTML with some PHP. I hadn't yet found an easily managable gallery plugin for WordPress - since I want her to be able to upload/manage her galleries. For now the basic uploading works fine. Members blue2blue
That WP theme works out nicely. Of course, it really helps that her art is so attractive. In addition to old standbys like Lightbox, there's also a WP plugin for Michael J. I. Jackson's Shadowbox, which I'm a big fan of: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/shadowbox-js/ I just installed the plug a minute or two ago and haven't worked through all the potential issues but here's a test page with a simple gallery: http://onebluenine.com/obnblg/shadowbox-test-page/ (requires visitor to have JS turned on, of course). (I'm using WP 3.1.) That uses the WP Gallery functionality (which I'd never used before just now; not sure when it was added). Here's a similar test page from a blog that doesn't (as of 2011-03-09) have the Shadowbox plug: http://ayearofsongs.org/blg/test-page/
