I like to play blues, country, and rock, and think it should be pretty versatile for those styles, with two singles and a humbucker for rock. That'd save me moeny for the time being, since i'd have humbuckers and singles in one. I'd like other suggestions to similar guitars in this price range with hss as well. Members Cyprusg Posted January 24, 2011 Members Share Posted January 24, 2011 I've been looking at that guitar as well, but might end up going with the Deluxe, I'm not sure yet. I have a Big Apple strat now that has 2 humbuckers but you definitely lose that typical strat tone with humbuckers but sometimes I think that's a good thing especially for rock. When I play softer stuff usually I'm going to use the neck pickup anyway, but when I'm rocking it out I prefer the sound of a good humbucker, so it makes sense to go with a HSS combination.
