Members alfsboy Posted February 20, 2011 Members Share Posted February 20, 2011 I tried a new Squier VM jaguar a few says ago and I didnt like it much .Felt sorta cheapish and the Fiesta red was dullish as were the pickups .Neck was average .I was expecting more CV like qualities but for some reason it just wasnt there .odd really . Members Special J Posted February 20, 2011 Members Share Posted February 20, 2011 The prices may have gone up along with the offset craze, but not that long ago you could buy a CIJ/MIJ JM used for $500 all day long. They'd have the wrong pick-ups, but at least have the right bridge/trem. Throw a set of SD's or Novacks in and you'd have an indie rock machine. I'm not any kind of offset purist, but I've owned a JM, and IMO the bridge/trem system gives it a lot of it's unique sound. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
