Members Johansolo Posted February 25, 2011 Members Share Posted February 25, 2011 so rather than changing out some humbucker pickups in a current guitar (seymour duncan jazz/Custom5) i was thinkiing of trying to put some nickel? covers over thempurely for aesthics + a slight change of tone? anyone tried this before and can chime in on the results?any noticable diffrence between the type of material used (nickel/gold plated? etc) or the thickness of the covers?and did you have to pot the pickups as well?
