Members Mike Riley
Recently I saw a question about putting a bowen handle on a dot. I put one on and so far I am very satisfied with it a nice tremolo for the price. The best feature is that it requires no alteration to your instrument, this is not a Floyd Rose so you cant dive bomb but if you are looking to get a cool vib it will do the job well with a few minor alterations such as your bridge needs to be very smooth I used a cherry stone and cleaned the saddles then polished with 1500 wet sand until I could drag a 17 across and feel no catch or drag.Next I polished the nut very gently and applied a little nutoil The only issue with the trem itself and this seems to be a common complaint is the bar is to high so installed two 6mm nuts and clamped in a vise then heated slightly to assist with bending it I marked it at 1inch from main bend to do this also if you over heat the bar it will ruin the finish. With these mods I have great success without any tuning issues.I hope this helps
Members Kevman
Welcome to HCEG .Thanks for the review, those things get mentioned from time to time. I've never played a guitar with one so.
