I am going to be purchasing a MM axis ss with vintage trem. I like those with the sunburst finish but so far the only one if found is that of floating in evilbay the 1998 model and that suits my budget. is there a difference between the late axis ss and the 2000's models? pickups, electronics, neck thickness? As far as I know and from my own experience there has not ever been a "low period" for QC or any other area for EBMM guitars. At least from the 1990s through now.
