Members BlueSky1963
The kind on body end of the neck. Can anyone give me the low down on how to adjust them?
Members DaleH
Take the pickguard off and give it a little turn. See Hendix had a notch in the pickguard to reach it without lifting the guard. Strat or tele? My tele had the neck pickup mounted to the body so I could do all the setup without a guard. Then just slide it in and screw it down. I've seen where a lot of people say you have to take the neck off, but that doesn't make sense to me. I would think adjusting relief would work best when the neck is under tension from the strings. Members Bubbluz
I have a 60's Classic Strat,it is a little finicky to adjust.I don't have to take the neck right off but I do have to loosen the neck screws enough to tilt it back a bit.Luckily it has remained pretty stable over the 3-4 years I've had it.not much adjustment needed . Members SteveXKR
I've done what seems the 'common' thing of:a) Loosen strings quite a bitb) Put capo on the neck somewherec) undo neck screws so neck comes offd) Adjust truss rode) Put neck back onf) Re-Tune Only takes about 5-10 minutes
Members benzem
I had my tech blast thru the PG so I could access that thing. It was his suggestion, when he refretted. Good call.
Members Bubbluz
Just carving out the pickguard wouldn't cut it in my case.Only half of the adjustment screw is visible when you take the PG offYou would have to notch the body of my strat as well to adjust the rod without loosening the neck screws.
