Members GreatDane Posted August 8, 2011 Members Share Posted August 8, 2011 for one particularly good point of reference (IMO): a black '57 Duo-Jet is currently valued at around $5,000 - $6,200 according to the 2011 Vintage Guitar Price Guide. that assumes it's in great condition with case. i've seen them priced quite a bit higher, but not sure if they're exactly "flying off the shelves" at any price these days given the slow economy. Members slushpup96 Posted August 8, 2011 Members Share Posted August 8, 2011 I saw one go on ebay for about 2000 (I think it may have been a '59 and not a '57 though... can't remember clearly.) It wasn't at all original though. Refinish, refretted twice, belt rash on the back... I still think it's good.
