Members SpankyXXV
Well I got a 1972 fender quad reverb off of ebay about two months ago. No sound when i got it so i brought it to the tech and then found out the cap was blown and the tubes were shot. So he replaced all that crap and I have it back now. I was playing tonight with it up around 4 with the master low so it wasn't too loud. When I was done I shut it off and went in the other room for a few hours and then came back and flipped it back on. The only sound i get is the white noise like when the guitar isn't plugged in. So I tested all my pedals and realized they weren't the issue and tried straight to my guitar. I got a little bit of noise when I put it close to my echo park's input but that was it. None with the guitar. The preamp tubes have not been changed. Could this be bad preamp tubes? Cause I can swap em out tomorrow if so. I just hope it is nothing else way up in the chassis. Please help.
Members LesPaulFetish
If he just worked on it, I'd try to take it back to him. If you already have the tubes, wouldn't hurt to try a swap.
