Members elsupermanny14
Just curious to see if this is something that happens everywhere or just current Bay Area market. Has anyone else noticed if there are more used Gibson Les Pauls for sale than Gibson SG guitars?

Members this is paul
I'd guess that LPs outsell SGs three-to-one at least. I'd say more like 10-1, at least. Walk in any GC and you'll see probably 10-30 USA Gibson LP's. You'll only see maybe 2-4 SG's. I love how SG's feel for live playing. But they don't sell nearly as many. Members jonny guitar
Less of a reputation for new buyers to gravitate too. When I was new to guitar, my Dad said I should buy and SG and I had no idea what kind of guitar it was until he told me that little Aussie guy in the shorts plays one; Les Pauls, that was my air guitar from the earliest memories. Members MoreGuitars
I think 10-1 might be accurate. I was told at the Fender plant tour that Strat's outsell Tele's 5-1.
Members jonny guitar
I was told at the Fender plant tour that Strat's outsell Tele's 5-1. so they made a guitar that was half tele and half strat and called it the Squire 51...and that is the story of how the 51 got its name.
