I have been taken by the beauty and all-out playability of the

Epiphone Sheraton.

Today, I saw a Prime example of the elegant well bound guitar at my local GC.

A top with a laminate so well done .. it was absolutely gorgeous.

The 5 piece neck was very well done. You could even feel the seams. A real beauty.

My GAS is outweighing my dollar amount rather largely - even at just $599..

and if I could talk the coupon through that could be $499..

and if I return the P-90 Special that I bought -and really like- it would be down to around $369...and that could be easily paid off in 30 days.

GAS GAS GAS GAS

I had to walk away from it, but I simply can't forget it.

I simply can't buy it either.

Can't afford it

It will be in my dreams tonight

Sheratons are fantastic. Find a good one, set it up well and add some decent pickups, it'll take you 98% into 335 territory.

Some advice though... play a whole bunch of them before you choose THE one. Seriously, try at least a dozen. They vary a lot from one example to the next. By playing many, you'll soon be able to hear and feel the differences easily.

I had a Sheraton for a loooong time (10 years)....they are fantastic guitars.

But eventually something does go bad because of the cheap parts (my switch died)....so it's worth it to change all the guts since it's a pain. I upgraded the pots/caps/switch/jack/wiring and pickups and after that is was incredible.

I advise everyone to buy a used one that plays really well then upgrade all the electronics.
