Basically, this uninterrupted sequence at Woodstock of "Voodoo Child"/"Star Spangled Banner"/"Purple Haze"/the improvisation/"Villanova Junction", Hendrix reached some remarkable heights during this. I don't claim Hendrix to be the best, or even my favorite, but if you want an argument for his greatness as a guitarist, these 25, 30 minutes of music is what you'd want to show people. Certainly.
