CMS Author MikeRivers Posted August 30, 2013 CMS Author Share Posted August 30, 2013 There's a plug-in for that. Or someone must have taken some impulse response samples to use in plug-ins like Altaverb. Maybe the organization that's supporting artistic use of the tank could sell those to raise some money. You might want to record little snippets in there, or a short choral piece or acapella intro, but you really wouldn't want to record a whole album that way. Members philbo
My old house had an unused water cistern buried in the back yard that was about 18 ft deep & 10 feet around. It had some pretty wild acoustics too. It would resonate like crazy around 100 Hz - you could get in there and hum a harmonic of 100 Hz and it would take off and drown you out. Pretty cool. For those in the midwest, an empty Harvestore silo works great too!
