Members burton4snow
I believe it is the power transformer( the one above the plug in) that is going out on my amp. I is making a loud buzz. My guitar tech says he can replace as long as I get the part. Where can I get a replacement transformer from, something decent but not too expensive? Members DaleH
I not sure but...Buying a transformer and having a tech install it may cost more than a new Little giant.

Members ugameus
Mercury Magnetics has them, but they are spendy. They should be an improvement over the stock trannys. It is up to you to decide if they are worth the price. Weber, Hammond, Musical Power Supplies and Classictone should have suitable replacements as well. I don't know the specs of the transformer so I can't for sure tell you which one from which manufacturer will work. I replaced the output transformer on my Valve Jr. with a Weber 15 watt tranny and it was a huge difference, more bottom end in a good way. Also, transformers are actually pretty easy to replace yourself if you are handy with a soldering iron. First determine if it is the power or output tranny and find the specs if you can. Also, the good folks over at sewatt.com are a great help and should be able to point you in the right direction for the proper replacement. http://mercurymagnetics.com/pages/catalog/kits/blackheart/BH-01.htm http://www.sewatt.com/
