Members SorrowAblaze
I guess I was a little late on this bandwagon. The Squier classic vibe telecaster came in last week, and wow is it fun to play! The pine body is very resonate, if you were worried about pine as a tone it wood, it works well for a tele, with a nice spanky tone. I love it so far. Members StrangeGuitars
If Mom and Pops,Grandparents or a noob insist on a electric......this is the guitar I tell 'em to buy.Only knock I have found, they tend to run on the heavy side.....and sloppy wiring, junk output jack.Go Electrosocket. Pine is fine. Congrats.

Members SrMeowMeow
Yeah, I routinely fantasize about selling all my guitars and just buying a CV Tele. Maybe put in a neck humbucker.
Members SorrowAblaze
This one is very light. My first guitar was a ibanez s470, and this feels just slightly heavier. I don't have a scale, but this is no boat anchor.

It's definitely not sarcasm. My real dream guitar is a CV Tele with the following pickups, from neck to bridge: Humbucker, Strat pickup, Gretch Filtertron, Lace Sensor. Members DaleH
HNDG Never paid much attention to squier. Seen one of the VM Surf strats and on a whim bought it. The thing is great. Nicest playing start I have owned.
Members fretmonster
Best budget line out there IMO. I mean even the Affinitys and Bullets are nice guitars but when you ante up for the top shelf stuff like the CVs, they're definitely Pro material. That's a beaut, big congrats. Now I've got to try one to see what pine sounds like.

Members vintage clubber
have you seen this? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001R2PQPY/ Those are nice, but the pricing is not that great. I have a friend who picked up the candy apple red VM with the neck humbucker last year on Amazon for like $220 new.
Mark Wein
Nice! I just had to redo the grounding in mine but other than that it's been what I keep at home to practice with every day:
