Members rog951
So yeah, please post if you've bought a replacement batwing pickguard for your recent Gibson SG standard and it fit perfectly without drilling any new holes. Thanks!
Members rog951
I'm assuming zero replies = there is no correct replacement pickguard in existence?
Members Pine Apple Slim
I think you best bet would be to contact a custom pickguard maker online. Discuss the fact that you absolutely do not wish to drill more holes in your guitar.Discuss the possibility of you sending him the current one on your guitar & him making another one EXACTLY the same dimensions with the holes in EXACTLY the same place. It will probably cost you 3 or 4x a standard replacement from GFS or Mighty Mite, etc, but if you wanna be positive.
Members PeaveyPlayer
If you have lost the original pickguard and have to buy a aftermarket, you can make a template and mark the screw holes on the template. You then take the template and place over your new pickguard and drill the screw holes before mounting to your guitar. Almost all arts and crafts stores will have the supplies you need. Members Angry Tele
surely a place like WD has a guard that fits?
Members vintage clubber
WD Music should have one if it is a Gibson. I had to order a batwing guard for my Epi from greasygroove. Have you looked on ebay for a genuine Gibson guard?
Members BryanMichael
trace it and send it to any of the online resources that make pickguards. Done. B
