Members megaboogie
I'd exchange it, I wouldn't be happy with finish cracks on a new guitar.
Members sk8centilli
Although not in Southeast area of the state, I highly recommend Moreno's Guitar Clinic. Pete Moreno is an institution unto himself regarding all things Gibson. He's just outside of Kalamazoo, so if you make a visit on Wednesday you could schedule yourself a Heritage Guitar factory tour, too!
Members artiem
Your guitar is fine. Just keep it and take the inevitable coupon/discount MF is going to offer you for your "troubles."I'm inclined to agree. Assuming no structural problems, a 5% GC would make me happy if I were in your shoes. All guitars have flaws, if you look hard enough.
Members orbm1
ok, thanks to all for the comments and advice... I was able to play it last night (unplugged only) for a solid 30 minutes and it plays great and it resonates wonderfully! Tomorrow morning I will be able to crank the amp up and I will be able to properly put it to the test... but I think, based on the unplugged test, that this will be a keeper.... a couple of iPhone photos but with natural light:
Members IRG
Beautiful color. I'd say have a tech look at it, if it's fine then definitely keep it. Maybe get a small credit as mentioned for the issue that shouldn't have happened.
Members 3 Headed Moses
Thing looks AWESOME! Yeah, press 'em for a discount, but I'd certainly keep her!
