Members richiejazz
Anyone use the reso/snare head diplomat? what do you think? Do you have to be careful putting it on/tuning it ?? they are ridiculously thin I dont want to break mine before trying it!!!
Members 1620drum
I have used Remo Diplomats on snare side for about 10 years now. I have not had a problem with them cracking or breaking with high tuning. I highly recommend them as bottom snare side heads because they increase the sensitivity and sound of the snare wire.Hope this helps,Greg
Members Snake
Are you talking about a regular Diplomat reso as a snare side head or a Diplomat snare side head? Because a regular Diplomat is actually thicker and less sensitive than an Ambassador snare side. Just curious.
Members 1620drum
I'm talking about a Diplomat extra thin (reso. side) clear snare side head for the bottom of the drum. Not the regular Diplomat you play on top of the snare.Sorry for the confusion.
Members richiejazz
i get confused with who means what with diplomats - have heard people of using ordinary diplomats on the snare side (which would be fairly thick for a snare side head..??)Although I think they actually meant they were using the clear snare side diplomat. Ive actually got the hazy snare side dip. So, is there a clear and a hazy??? Whats the difference??
