Members jenksdrummer
You can learn as much about drumming from Rock Band as you can learn how to dance from Dance Revolution
Members Kevin K Is A OK
the worst part is on an hdtv the lag is so much that you have to hit the drums "early" and if you just listen to the song and play along you'll be way off. and if you calibrate it to fix the lag then the guitar ends up being way off. total garbage and a waste a time. Members KenVinTX
IMO, I think it can help teach limb independence and even some timing. Take someone who has never played drums and put them behind a set - no coordination whatsoever. Now let them play Rock Band drums for a while - maybe even advance through some levels and then put them behind a set. Now they have an idea of some mechanics and understand a few principles. I would definitely say the association of Rock Band's drums is much closer to the real deal then Guitar Hero's guitar.
Members KenVinTX
p.s. I own Rock Band and I think it gets pretty challenging at times. Covering a song in Rock Band at the harder levels is sometimes more difficult then playing it for real. I'd much rather play the real thing then be a slave to the bars and dots of RB.
