Members garytees
Hi, bass forumite here. Used your forum to research drums. Bought Sonar Force 507's for pickup drummer. Had to dampen heads for small club and no moon jells in local store. Bought a set of silicone ear plugs and they did the trick. Just thought I'd offer as nobody seems to come up with this idea. Members sunspot
good idea. Do they leave any residue on the head?
Members SYMBOLIC
You can also use those sticky hand things that you can get out of gum-ball machines at the grocery store. Pretty much the same stuff as moon gels.
Members garytees
good idea. Do they leave any residue on the head? Don't know yet. I'll post after the weekend gig.
Members ddeerreekk
how did the amount of dampening compare to the moongels?
Members garytees
They dampened the drums nicely, one popped off, overall ok but I'd rather get the moon gels. No residue on the drum skins.
