Members min7b5
After years of venue gigs, events, etc, I did my first “street fair” gig today. It was a local “art fair” on a closed off street with lots of yuppies, bad art, food booths, cheap wine, etc. But man, the money flowed like water. I couldn’t get through a tune with out selling a few CDs. The promoter had people bringing me cold water, food, making sure I was in the shade, moving my gear...life is good. I figured out that I made about $350 a hour in CD sales and tips....and I was there all morning. Has anyone else had this experience? Was it dumb luck? Is there a circuit? I want in!
