Members mraia1
I understand where you guys (carm, darkslide, etc) are coming from, but I gotta agree with Fitch. It seems to have been a completely tasteless thing to do, and only to serve one purpose: to embarrass. Thats my take on it anyway...but maybe Im a little on the sensitive side on this type of thing. I actually had this happen to me....went to Jam with a band looking for a rock drummer. Get to the studio, set up, and midway through the first or second song their original drummer (who they had just fired) walks in and starts causing grief. I got my {censored} together and got out of there, but it was embarrassing. Turns out one or two of the guys in the band KNEW the drummer was gonna show. What a {censored}ty thing to do. Oh well, dont let it bug ya too much Fitch. Your outta there, so no worries.
Members cearleywine
If I was leaving my band I'd totally want to help the other drummer, and I'd appreciate going into a new band if a current drummer was there to give pointers. Just makes everything easier in my opinion.
Members satman
sounds intentional to me. might have been for your benefit as in " we're moving on with or without you" just used the other cat as a visual . JMO
Members race81
Im with Carm on this one.......you both know the score. Time to be professional on his end and show them he can get the job done. On your end Fitch maybe the thought You being there and your opinion or approval means something. If it was that uncomfortable......maybe someones thinking twice about it!??? ps.......Im just like Carm.......(mean old geezer fart!!!)
Members TonyBono
Part of being professional though is for the band to have the courtesy to let him know the other drummer was coming in for a tryout. Just my opinion. Regardless, glad to hear things worked out, and everything is amicable.
Members boomboomdrums
What's the big deal? You're quitting. The band is replacing you as would be expected. The other guy is looking for a gig. Don't see the problem. At the risk of sounding like a sexist, I'll add that this sounds like the way women would talk about a similar situation. You quit, move on.
