Members Fotowns Finest
hey guys, im looking for a way to take a master recording and be able to either eliminate the vocal track or turn it down a good ways. im going to be attending college soon and i want to put together a resume of sorts of songs that i can sing so that other ppl know what kind of vocal style i am. does anyone know of any software or something i can do to help achieve this? Members DukeOfBoom
The Duke likes Sony Sound Forge which has an "Elimate Vocals" function. One usually must buy Sony Sound Forge though. You can use the open source Audacity and the invert Channels function for the same effect. There are a lot of tutorials on how to do this on Google and on Youtube. Members rockinrobby
I would just do my version of the cover and sing the hell out of it? I covered the Eagles "Please come home for Christmas" and did just that. I'm playing all of the parts, I mixed it, and then I sang it. It sounds like the Eagles are backing me up :-) But I did everything. That's the way to go... #2 on the page. And I have SF 9.
Members YeahDoIt
I never liked the sound when I tried to remove vocals from a recording. I just sing on top of the original recording. Maybe find a free backing track or karaoke track on the web.
