Members conk97 Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 I was in stafford (uk) over the weekend and i popped into a music shop to see what basses they had and saw this. The neck was like a {censored}ing skateboard..i could barely play the thing at 1st, but i streched and managed to get a few little improve solos on the C string. Anyone own this bass?
Members Fran da Man Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 I have the older model, bought it used just for the hell of it; what i don't like about it is the string spacing (too tight 15mm). My electronics are shot now though.

Members sunburstbasser Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 I haven't played that model, but I've played a Dean. Nice bass all around. There aren't many bad reviews of Dean basses going around anymore. Solid instruments that don't break the bank.
Members Fran da Man Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 Slapping with the tight string spacing is the reason I don't care for it. I'm used to a Jazz spacing around 19mm.

Members syrinx Posted September 2, 2005 Members Posted September 2, 2005 I often play a dean 8 string as well as a dean 12 string- and you are right about the skateboard deck for a fret board. However I have been very impressed with the quality and workmanship on these mid priced basses. Although it looks like this 6 is pretty expensive for a dean- and I would look into all posibilities as well as ebay.
