Members Monkabutt
I did have a MIK '52 RI and it was a very nice bass. Well made and sounded great. Having 24 frets seems to be more of an issue with some. I don't play that far up the neck often enough to make it a priority.
Members sunburstbasser
I seriously like the features on that model a lot. I've had a lot of mixed experiences with Fenders, and many were negative. On the other hand, I've played quite a few Korean basses (is it really Made in Korea?) that were nothing short of excellent. I can't say how it plays, but I'd sure like to try one.
Members illidian
I don't like 'em. On paper, it looked to be a very good bass. Played four of them. Not my thing.
Members syciprider
Very fat. I mean, roll off the bass and boost the mids to reel it in, fat. If you like the vintage jazz sound, you won't like this bass. I have mine dropped one whole step to take advantage of the big sound. The slap switch (don't you believe it!) gives 2 quick EQ settings. Also the body is smaller, so it's lighter, but there is also less room for slapping. The neck is typical Jazz. The higher frets are very accessible. Pretty bass. I picked it over a Geddy (too Jazz like I guess) and an Aerodyne (fingerprints!)
