I should. It's got bass. It's got synth. The songs are more interesting than average. It's got "concept" stuff. I think it's OK, but I'm not nuts about it. Can't take too much of that voice. What's wrong with me? I do like Ozzy's singin' on Rick Wakeman's Return to the Centre of the Earth. Only one song though.

These days I'm also less into listening to music for reasons linked specifically because the bassist is the focal point. I have more appreciation for the smooth, but technically "easy" bass lines on some old motown tunes as I once did for guys like Les and Geddy...still great musicians, but more into the sound as a whole, not just because the bassist gives me a musical woody. Mine are lower bitrates though, and all MP3. I've got the space to have it all as flacs though, which I'd like, but I don't want to take the time to re-rip them, just not to be able to put 'em on my ipod. Future Perfect is an amazing record! Before that (finally) came out, they had released a self-produced 5 song demo. I'll gladly share it with you, as it is out of print and contains 2 songs which you may not have heard (along with turnstile blues, angry candy and sugarless). I am convinced that one of the songs (which is actually titled Future Perfect) has been reworked into what is now "great days for the passenger element".
