Members dert_stylus Posted October 9, 2006 Members Share Posted October 9, 2006 I was going to purchase an SX Jazz bass like the Geddy Lee with the Block inlays, but I scored a Dillion Model with the same characteristics for $140 shipped. i was wondering if they are comparable in quality and if like the SX brand , if I needed to modify it in order for it to sound any better. I read some reviews on the net and all say it is very good quality instrument, no mods needed. I was looking for this exact model, but it was 3 times the price you paid. Members Darkstorm Posted October 9, 2006 Members Share Posted October 9, 2006 The Dillions are much better instruments. As Iloverush said Dillions dont need mods right out of the box. Necks & fretwork is also much better on the Dillions. Whereas SX's have nothing but cheap needs replacing hardware & electronics and often poor fretwork that needs redoing.
