Members sunburstbasser
Doesn't mean its at all efficient. Besides, Behringer's watts usually aren't as nice as, say, Eden watts.
Members Crescent Seven
If I had 2400w to throw at a cab, I sure as {censored} wouldn't throw it at a Behringer, I don't give a {censored} how much power they say it can handle. Members lokidecat
300W per ten? Something smells fishy. Reminds me of the ol' Phoenix Gold car amps that were like 3000W for $199 at Crazy Mike's Car Stereo Asylum.
Members xOriginalNinjax
I wouldn't even trust my 1000w Ampeg B4R through that. Pretty sure it would shoot the speakers across a stadium....
Members Marthoyink
So, are there any 2,400 watt heads out there for $500? I'm just curious.

Members Marthoyink
Ok, I'm guessing that the toneworks thing is the pre-amp right?

Members Dragonlord
I have played a couple of times through a behringer 210 that's supposedly 500 or 600 watt. Gotta tell you, it farted like crazy with only 300w going into it. Stay away.
Members Marthoyink
Dude, the only Behringer 210 is this one: http://www.behringer.com/LX210/index.cfm?lang=ENG It's supposed to be 2x60watt. Which would be 120 watts not 300!!!!!!!!!!!
Members Dragonlord
I'm talking about a cab. This thread is about a behringer cab. Not combo
Members JanVanHove
Like many things in life, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is... Cheap and powerful don't go well together... Holds true for cars, amps and computers, among other things...
Members Marthoyink
ohhhh, is this the one that you're talking about: http://www.behringer.com/BA210/index.cfm?lang=ENG
Members Dragonlord
Yeah, BA210 or BB210, not sure, one is 500W and the other one 600W. It's really the worst cab I've ever used, totally reflects the price.
Members Marthoyink
I've never bought any Behringer stuff.
Members Dragonlord
Well, Behringer's not all bad. There's stuff I'd take if I didn't want to spend too much $$. Nothing that goes in the way of my rehearsal/live sound though... For example, my gf has bought a 2x10 guitar combo with a built-in v-amp. It's 2x60watt and has many many different sounds. She paid 300euro for it, and it's the perfect beginner guitar combo imo - plenty loud if needed, with many sounds to keep you happy in your first steps and inexpensive. I was also thinking of getting their BTR2000 racktuner. I A/Bed one with the Korg and I decided to go for the Korg sometime in the next months. That's only because I can afford such an expensive tuner like the korg. The behringer is significantly worse, but if I wanted a racktuner and was on a budget I'd get one.My guitarist, who is used to high-end amps, uses a v-amp for his home practice. He says it does the job in a bearable way and for real cheap. He wouldn't use it in a live setting, but getting that instead of a combo for example left him with more money for his main rig.Behringer's not all bad. You just have to make the choices that suit your needs.
