Members rlm297
What are some cool tricks or extra "flair" singers can add while taking control of the mic and mic stand?
Members SevenString
Maybe watch David Coverdale or singers like that? I used to do that stuff back in the 80s, including wireless mic tricks like spinning the mic in my hand like a baton or whatever. These days, I pretty much just sing. Members Jersey Jack
Bruce Springsteen has his mic stand crazy-glued (or something) to the floor, and he'll occasionally swing around it like a pole dancer. Awesome. Wait.... I love ya Bruce, but not like that!

Members BossFan90
...Bruce's mic stand is just a big steel pole that is either bolted or stuck straight through the stage. It's pretty cool. In addition to swinging around it, he used to hang upside down on it during "Waitin' On A Sunny Day." Stumbled upon this looking for pics of it! Members ido1957
Watch Freddy Mercury, Deep Purple, Van Halen videos - stuff with a lead singer from the 70's and 80's.
Members TeleCeltic
Hard to give advice for this if you don't say what type of music you'll be singing. People like different things from rockabilly singers than they like from metal singers (Though that isn't 100% true, its just an example)
Members urca
You can pretend the mic schnerp is a guitar and play it (a la Freddie Mercury).
Members Zephyrside
You might not like there music but check out Cedric from The Mars Volta he's got some pretty cool moves, but they look like they could wreck the mic.
