Members Nazman06
OK, I am finally gonna get some {censored} paid off and be able to get a better rig. I used to use a Behringer 300 watt head and a peavey 15" cab. Then I used a GK backstage 600 with a Peavey 15" cab. Then I recently got a Behringer 4x10 450 watt combo. It actually sounds decent..But , it is heavy and I am tired of lugging it.Also the carpet is starting to come loose already..cheap ass {censored}.I am going to leave it at the practice room to use for practice only. I am soon to have $1,000 to spend..Maybe a little more ..But, let's say $1,000. I play old classic metal and originals. For $1,000 what is the best rig yall would think I could get? Here are some of the ones I am looking at- http://www.carvin.com/products/single.php?ItemNumber=BRX810.4&CID=BRX http://www.carvin.com/products/single.php?ItemNumber=R600&CID=BA http://www.zzounds.com/item--HTKVX215 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Ashdown-MAG-600H-Bass-Amp-Head-?sku=480429
Members walkerci
Markbass Little Mark II and Avatar B212 Neo 8-ohm with Line-X. This will bring you in at roughly $1,000.00 and 60 weigh pounds. Both the head and the cab are rated at 500 Watts of ground pounding power. You will have no trouble cutting through the mix with this! Members sultan417
As far as cabs my suggestion would be to get one or two Avatar 2x12's and spend the rest on a used bass head of your choice. http://avatarspeakers.com/

Members Nazman06
I think I am going to order 2 of the 2 x 12 Avatar cabs. The Neo cab is rated at 500 watts. http://www.avatarspeakers.com/ If I get them both 8 ohm..what would be the best head for about $500.00 to match with it? http://www.zzounds.com/item--HTK5500 http://www.zzounds.com/item--AMPB2RE http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Peavey-Tour-450-Bass-Head-?sku=480314
Members T. Alan Smith
Markbass head.Peavey Tour Series 2x10 + 1x15 cabs. Start with one or the other, then add the 2nd as fundage becomes available. This was a most rockin' setup I tried not to long ago.

That head with two B212s will be stupid loud and it will sound really good too. I'm really impressed with the new Tour series stuff from Peavey. Its as though they took all of the upsides of the old Mark series and fixed the downsides.
