Members Emprov
that looks really nice ... why so cheap? I'm also thinking that the top's not a real piece of wood, could be wrong though. Whatever the case, that's purty bass!
Members dabbler
I'm also thinking that the top's not a real piece of wood, could be wrong though. Whatever the case, that's purty bass! Don't believe that it's not real wood. Rondo (Brice seller) gives real value. I bought this fretless from them for $100 because it had some fretboard edge damage: Douglas is one of Rondo's lower lines (SX is the bottom). Best $100 I've spent in a looong time. Here's a full description of mine:http://www.rondomusic.net/wpb955tfl.html And here's the full description of the one that started this thread: http://www.rondomusic.net/product875.html I also have a Brice 6 string from them: Rondo Rocks... and Rolls... and Jazzes... and Blues!!! Members Robear22
I actually ordered one of these basses last week and it will be delivered on Monday. I have had two of theses basses before and they rival anything in the price range and then some. The only weak spot is in the electronics and pickups. I have a set of EMG HZ 6 string pickups and an EMG BTS pre I am gonna install in it and see what that does for it. On the other two I had I changed up the preamps and it made a significant boost in tone and volume but it seemed the stock pickups were still holdong it back. Members dabbler
how is the spacing on that 6 er It is probably tight for a typical bass player, they tend to have large fingers. I am actually a guitarist learning bass and it's comfortable to me. But I must admit if I start to pluck and slap, it gets kinda tight. Good news is the neck is manageable, I was really worried about that.
