Members Lizzard Tom
I had one in black in the 80's. I like the blue! I wish I had not gotten rid of mine.

Members Retrovertigo
I dig the color and the body style; I hate the 'Wish Bass' control plate.
Members bholder
It looks more like a Burns than an Alembic. Meh, I'd take it if I had to, but that's probably my least favorite of all the Alembics I've ever seen.

Members Navybass65
Personally, I don't think it's worth the price. Actually, Alembic has lost it's luster with me. They are outrageously over priced and really don't hold their value that well. IMHO, people that pay the $17,200 base price for a Series II are completely crazy, unless they are professional musicians that play in a band as their only source of income. For the average person that has a non-musical job and just plays in a band part time, it's completely nuts to spend that kind of money for a bass. For the people who were going to say "Have you ever played an Alembic?", Yes I have and have owned 3 different ones, including an older Series II. Honestly, I didn't see anything special about them. I could get the same tone from a bass costing much less, and the feel asn't anything special.
Members willsellout
Very cool basses. I had one for a short period. Not worth the price though...you can find those much cheaper on ebay. Dan

Members brake
I would kill any of you {censored}ers twice for an 5 string Alembic Series I fretted. Running at 18v with the external 5-pin XLR power supply.... tone heaven.
