Members Marthoyink
Is 3" of speaker really worth the $50 price difference?

Members guitargod0dmw
I prefer 12" speakers to 15"s...so is it worth it to me? No...
Members Marthoyink
I guess I could always return it if I don't like it right? Well, do you guys know if I can get a better deal at a store like Sam Ash or guitar center? Because the Ashdown 12-180 is $300 and it only weighs like 37 pounds and it has a 12" and and output of 180 watts, it sounds like a really good deal but do you know if I can get such a deal at a sam ash or somethin'? It seems like Fender and all of those other brands rip you off.
Members dDigitalPimp
i got the eb 12-180 as my first bass amp and i am really happy with it. its heavier than they say it is in the description. its about as heavy as i would want a combo amp. i couldnt see carrying a 2x10 or 2x12 combo down a flight of stairs with only one person. my .02c
Members Marthoyink
The EB 12-180 is supposed to weigh like 36 lbs
Members Thumper
I'd go with the 12. You can always add a 1x15 extension cab if you want.
Members Robin
Never played the 12" . I've got the EB-180-15. It's fat. I really like it. Sure, it's a bit heavy. I don't care, I'm strong. Pairs nice with another(8 ohm) 15" ext. cab too. A 4 ohm load. The amp just sings.
Members Marthoyink
I'm still waiting for a price match at Instrument pro, I just don't want to pay $350 for the EB 15-180, but if I can get it for like $330 or something, then I'll get it for sure.
