Mute Math readily acknowledges that they are not the first band to make a "backwards" video. They just wanted to see what if they could take it a step further. The Coldplay and Jack Johnson videos (which are cool) do not have the full band performing in them. Calling it a ripoff makes it sound like they had some sort of malicious intent. Which isnt true. I just realized I've always had something against their music (probably at a subconscious level since its not much different from a dozen other bands).
