I just remembered this one, which I think might be even older, making the Mute Math one a ripoff of a ripoff.

 

 

Mute Math readily acknowledges that they are not the first band to make a "backwards" video. They just wanted to see what if they could take it a step further. The Coldplay and Jack Johnson videos (which are cool) do not have the full band performing in them.

 

Calling it a ripoff makes it sound like they had some sort of malicious intent. Which isnt true. They just wanted to make a cool video, and thought it was a cool concept to work off of.

Fair enough. I just realized I've always had something against their music (probably at a subconscious level since its not much different from a dozen other bands). The video is pretty cool.

 

...Peter Gabriel does actually win this contest hands down though.
