Digital camera dilemma

the SP550

 

That's the camera I have (Olympus SP550), and it's takes great pictures. It has a view finder that I use most of the time. It also has image stabilization.

 

The only complaints I have are:

1. The image quality of the view finder is low. You have to trust that the shot will turn out, and it almost always does when viewed on the computer.

2. The manual focus is hard to operate quickly.

 

That being said, I have taken a lot of shots that I never would have been able to with my old 35 mm point and shoot. I think it's much better than the pocket-sized digital cameras. The shortcomings make me want to get an SLR camera someday, however the SP550 is much smaller to carry around, so it's great for traveling and hiking.
