I've always said I don't like playing in cover bands, but The Descendents, and particularly Karl Alvarez, is one of my favorites ever. I'm fairly busy, but I'm hoping the schedule can work out! I'm pretty much locked into rehearsals on Tuesdays... Kind of my sticking point right now. Sucks. Between kids, work, hockey, and my g/f things are tight these days. One of my buddies (he's about your age) and my kid (who's 22) have a ptrry decent band going and they are haing issues with their bass player. They rehearse saturday afternoons. Descendents are definitely in my top 5 all-time favs. I wrote a song that totally rips off "This Place" and "I'm the One" at the same time (we're actually recording it on saturday... it will be up on our myspace soon) Good luck with the new band, sounds fun as hell!!
