Members Funkee1 Posted September 11, 2007 Members Posted September 11, 2007 A Tron Sequel? Joseph Kosinski Helming TronSource: The Hollywood ReporterSeptember 11, 2007 Commercial director Joseph Kosinski is in final talks to develop and direct Tron, described as "the next chapter" of Disney's 1982 cult classic, says The Hollywood Reporter. Sean Bailey is producing via Live Planet, as is Steven Lisberger, who co-wrote and directed the original film. Kosinski, who last month signed on to helm the remake of Logan's Run for Warner Bros. Pictures, will oversee the visual development of the project and have input on the script, which is being written by "Lost" writers Eddie Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. The original, about a computer programmer thrust into a computer and forced to fight in games he helped create, was the first movie to use computer-generated images instead of models and other optical effects in conjunction with live action. The arcade game based on the movie was so popular that it earned more than the movie. The trade says that one of the things Kosinski will be doing is working on a sequence involving the movie's Light Cycles to work out his vision for the movie. And... The Stepfather remake News McCormick Helming Stepfather RemakeSource: VarietySeptember 10, 2007 Nelson McCormick will direct Screen Gems' remake of The Stepfather, reports Variety. The story centers on a teenage boy who discovers his new stepfather is a serial killer who has murdered multiple families. The script, by Joe Cardone, takes a modern spin on the 1987 thriller of the same name that starred Terry O'Quinn. Greg Mooradian and Mark Morgan of Maverick Films are producing. McCormick recently wrapped production of Screen Gems' Prom Night, which stars Brittany Snow, Idris Elba and Johnathon Schaech and opens April 11. Seriously.... I can't watch Lost, or X-files reuruns without thinking "Don't trust that guy..... He was the Stepfather!!!"

Members Funkee1 Posted September 11, 2007 Author Members Posted September 11, 2007 Didja see Shoot em up yet? No, but it looks great! Is it kinda a send up of action movies?
Members Ender_rpm Posted September 11, 2007 Members Posted September 11, 2007 Kinda. Its like a wierd mix of Sin City, Hong Kong Wire-fu bullet ballets, and bugs bunny. It was so far over the top, in every way, its hard to describe. My wife was giggling like a school girl for half of it, and going "WTF?!?!?!?" the other half.
Members catphish Posted September 11, 2007 Members Posted September 11, 2007 No, but it looks great! Is it kinda a send up of action movies? it's friggin BAD ASS! Clive Own owns. Totally lives up to his name.
