Members UK_Lefty
I'm confused as to what the difference is and which would be best. My understanding is that a compressor will ensure all output is the same volume, but a limiter enhancer allows for peaks and troughs in volume within a set range. Is this correct? If I want to play a gig wherein I am playing fretless (using harmonics and hammerons) and also some slap on a fretted, do i need both???
Members FreestyleIntruder
A compressor reduces the dynamic range of a signal. A limiter prevents a signal from exceeding a set value. An enhancer is the opposite of a compressor - it increases the dynamic range of a signal. In your situation I would probably recommend a compressor.
