Members chubrocker
OK, did a quick search and I couldn't really find an answer to my question. So, I come to the bass forum to get my computer questions answered! At work we have a huge database. Since I've come onboard, we are doing more email blasts for our newsletters, updates, etc. But, our list is ever-changing and ever growing. When I sent out an email, it takes me an hour to go through the "non legit" emails or emails that are incomplete, etc. Even after making changes/corrections to the database entry, new emails are inputted incorrectly, blah blah blah. Is there a way I can easily check my Excel list (I convert into Excel from our database) to filter out legit emails???
Members cthulhu0
best practice would be to scrub your inputs BEFORE they get in the database. past that, you are probably looking at doing some vb scripting. look up 'regex' (regular expression)in the help files or on google.
