Thanks in advance for your help. pretty sure Fender makes a set for that bass , you usually can not as the tuning pegs are to small for the larger ga strings . Members Saturday Posted December 4, 2007 Members Share Posted December 4, 2007 just cut them down. any bassist that i know that plays short-scale (myself inclued) cut them down. no problem with that. one good suggestion is to use higher-gauge strings - due to the lack of tension for the smaller scale.
