Members L-1329
Meh. I've owned a few Fenfers, and my Yamaha pwns them all! This I can agree with. I've only played, not owned Fenders, but my cheapie Yammie P/J is in a class WAY beyond anything from Fenfer.

Members Sugarskull
Fender gave my husband my P bass for free. He sold so many of them that one Christmas they thought they'd give him a tiny percentage as a way of saying thanks.
Members countrybass
Hugh Fender fan here, but I played a pretty damn nice EBMM Sterling last weekend. It may be even nicer than my Fender.

Members Cpt. Spliff
...and fenfer is spelled with a lower case f...always. Take note, brethren. This is an essential. I like a good Fender, but then I like good basses. Again I must speak well of the Japanese Vintage (JV-series) Squier's. "Vintage" because they were build using blueprints from the original '57 P, '62 P and '62 J. They turned out fine.
Members sub5ound
MY Fender rulz...and surprisigly the 70's Jazz I played at GC today does as well. Go figure... As for every other Fen(f)er ever made, (save for ones I may own in the future), they suck.
