Members geetarLAXjunkie
Any one know of a Jamiroquai book with decents bass tabs? I'm as interested in learning the style as I am particular pieces, but there doesn't seem to be any published work of them at all; weird considering they're known as one of the cream-o-the-crop funk groups these days. Any site suggestions atleast? Thanks fellas.
Members W33nie
You could watch youtube videos, a lot of people cover their popular songs. You can listen to the bass and watch the fingers (assuming the covers are correct)
Members baracuda2004
www.bassmasta.net has some decent ones. Other then that just check around other sites like ultimate-guitar.com
Members dionysusolympus
Sheet Music Plus (@ www.sheetmusicplus.com) might have them. Otherwise, just scour the net...
Members bassplayer7770
www.bassmasta.net has some decent ones. Other then that just check around other sites like ultimate-guitar.com For tabs, go to 911tabs.com. They basically link to several tab sites, so, if they don't have it, you might not find it. Members RSBro
A lot of the basslines will vary going from record to live performance.Stu would always talk about re-improv-ing (not improve-ing) his lines whenever he felt like it as he did that a lot in the studio. Members sunburstbasser
Stu's lines had all kinds of little parts that were different each time. Even on studio recordings, you can hear it. "Cosmic Girl" has some little licks every once in a while that are never the same. If you can't find bass tabs, there are chord charts out there that are reasonably accurate. With those, you'll have some idea what notes are being played at any point. Again, "Cosmic Girl" seems to have a lot of notes, but the important ones are all chord tones under the progression.
