By "shooting games," its shoot-em-ups. Games like Gradius, R-Type, and Raiden rather than FPS games (no Half-Life or similar, sorry!). Anyone interested can join and any skill level is accepted. The games can all be played through emulation thanks to MAME, though if you prefer you can use a console port or an actual PCB. There will be a single game each week for five weeks. The games themselves have already been chosen and all that the players will know is the week's theme. The only objective is to get the highest possible score. The tournament is open to teams of 5-7 each. I've already got my team but I'll help manage if anyone is interested here and help out with strategies. Check out the link for the finer details.
