Members Matt B
Has anyone here used q-tuner pickups before? I am looking to put the BL-4 in a bass for a buddy of mine and was wondering are the worth the price? Do they truly give a wider frequency response? Thanks for the help. Members Super_Donut_Man
Fretless has em, I believe. He (or whoever it was) posted some clips, and I was impressed.
Members Jazz Ad
Widest range ever on a magnetic pickup. It has a very flat response too, which means much more lows and highs than we're used to. It doesn't have a bump in the mids. Not for everyone but a brilliant product. Members Rowka
Are Q-Tuners Erno Zwaan's design? Is it his company? Edit: Google says "yes" to both.

Only concern is that the BL-4 is not a DC-53 replacement - the BL series has their own feet-prints - so if this is a retrofit you may have issues. To answer your questions; Yes I have and will use them - one of the best pickups available at the moment. They are worth the price. They do have a very broad frequency response, and in addition the BL series let you adjust the aperture and pole piece proximity by raising and lowering the set screws. Brilliant.
