MF's Clearance Center even closed here in KC. My friend who owned a VERY successful t-shirt biz is now belly-up. Good friend in insurance sales who was was doing well two years ago now works for a home improvement store part-time to pay bills. What about your local area? 2010 is going to be VERY interesting.... I work for Apple and they keep having record quarters (in fact, I'm helping run a hiring event for us tonight). I also work for a TV station that gets public funding, but I make so little $$$ there that I wouldn't miss the income if it went belly-up, but I would very much miss the people I work with.
