Members zachoff
Seeing a lot of people using their guitars these days and some of them are completely awesome. http://www.firstact.com/Artists.aspx There's no info on pricing or anything, but the Delgada bass is pretty rad. Wonder how they're not getting sued by Gibson.

Members SB900LE
But . . . First Act is the cheapo brand sold at Target or Walmart or whatever, isn't it? A check on ebay shows plenty under $100, few over 200: http://instruments.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=first+act+-amp&_sacat=3858&_odkw=first+act&_osacat=3858&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313 That Brett Hind model, otoh, is like $3400 what gives? (i.e., wtf?)

Members Texas Noise Factory
I've tried one of the VW guitars. It actually has a nice sound to the pre amp. I gave it to my father in law, so when I go up to Idaho to visit him I have something to play when he's playing the drums!!! As far as the Delgada goes, I'd be interested how it stacks up to these... Members Thrustin
I had a guitar student that had a First Act acoustic. It was impossible to setup. It was a guitar-shaped object.

Members bassthumpintwin
so, they make {censored} as well as the shizzle That's actually a smart way to go if you ask me. Most people starting out on guitar, bass, or drums, don't want to spend the big bucks on a "real" instrument, and they'd probably feel lost going into a music store, but they'd be glad to shell out 100-200 bucks on something they see on the shelf at a store they go to every week. It's like almost any retail business.... the big bucks are made on the cheap stuff. quantity, not quality.
Members perrydabassman
No matter how good they may be, I could never, ever get over the fact that the name on the headstock belonged in the same vein as Pinto, Yugo, Le Car, Pet Rock, etc.
Members Thrustin
I thought the Pet Rock was a quality product? Did they use cheap rocks?
