Members tabdog
I have not had the combo, but I used to run a Mark IIIhead through a 2X15 cab at 2 ohms which produce more wattage. For highs, I bi-amped it with a TKO 80. The ones with a Black Widow speaker sound a little better. They are a rugged 130 watt rig that may have old potsand other signs of age. I think it's probably a 1980s rig. I find that they can sound better if you use a preamp.the old Peavey preamps leave something to be desired. I would rate it as a solid practice amp. Good enough to use with drums in a practice or small venue environment. They are pretty nice alone, but a preamp will make itmo-better, Tabdog
